Kristin Chung-mei Lensen Associate |
Kristin Chung-mei Lensen is an intercultural consultant. She helps organizations gain a better understanding of how culture influences the way people manage and conduct business; leverage new skills and know-how about cultural differences to improve business performance, client service, and employee satisfaction; and develop competitive business strategies that tap into new markets and organizational resources. As a Eurasian American woman, Kristin believes that recognizing and understanding the interweaving of white male culture on U.S. corporate culture is an essential step for ending systemic oppression in U.S. organizations and developing more equitable and inclusive work environments for everyone.
Kristin has 11 years experience in organizational development, training and development, process facilitation, conflict resolution, and change management. She specializes in designing and conducting workshops on cultural diversity and intercultural communication. Some of her clients include Multnomah County, State of Oregon, CH2M HILL, U.S. Army Corp of Engineers, and CASA. She has been a conference presenter for the Society of Intercultural Educators and Researchers, U.S. Department of Defense, International Facility Managers Association, and Multnomah County.

Personal/Professional Philosophy: Reach for the stars!
A Favorite Book: Lost in Translation, Eva Hoffman
A Favorite Quote: "You must be the change you wish to see in the world." — Gandhi
Lessons Learned: I have learned that when I operate from anger and victimization, I collude in my own oppression. When I operate from an open heart and strength, I invite partnership to end all oppression. I choose partnership.
