Moe Carrick Associate |
Moe Carrick is Founder and Principal of Moementum, a training and development firm. The focus of her company is partnering with people in organizations who seek an active, engaging, thought provoking approach to improving work and the workplace. Her services sit at the juxtaposition of the two most important facets of any business - the people and desired results. She brings two decades of experience working with individuals, groups, and systems, to bring about personal, local, and systemic change, both as an internal and an external consultant.
Through her association with WMFDP as an Associate, Moe welcomes the opportunity to help others explore the changes required for effective partnership across difference and within sameness. She facilitates the Women’s Caucus and White Men as Allies Workshops, as well as assisting in strategic design and delivery of custom WMFDP work. In addition, Moe is pleased to utilize the approach and proprietary materials of WMFDP as an element of her own consulting practice.
Through her work, Moe has found that rigorous self-awareness, honest dialogue, active involvement, and empathy are fundamentals to improving individual and team effectiveness. Moe's approach is to partner with clients to develop training initiatives, coaching plans, facilitated events, and/or other interventions that specifically suit her client's unique needs. Her strong background in experiential learning assists Moe in developing events that blend traditional OD tools with non-traditional, engaging activities that fully involve all participants.
Moe received her Master of Science degree in Organization Development from Antioch New England University and has numerous other applicable training and certifications.
Moe is based in Bend, Oregon and can be reached at carrick@wmfdp.com.
Personal/Professional Philosophy:
Personal: Real joy comes with regular balance in all things.
Professional: People in systems can make the phenomenal happen, despite barriers. My role is to partner; to offer outside perspective and facilitation in order to produce long-lasting change.
A Favorite Book: Angle of Repose, Wallace Stegner
A Favorite
Quote: "There’s only one corner
of the universe you can be certain of improving
and that’s your own self."
— Aldous Huxley, English Novelist and Critic (1894-1963)
Lessons Learned: By rigorously examining my self and by consciously, actively learning about others, I can help grow our collective capacities beyond our wildest dreams.
